Rights responsibilities and the process for copyright complaints.
This document is an operational starting point and must be reviewed with your company details, jurisdiction, providers, and counsel before accepting customers.
Creator responsibility
Only upload songs, lyrics, images, voices, and likenesses that you own or have permission to use. Prompting for a living artist or recognizable person does not remove legal or platform responsibilities.
Reporting infringement
Send a notice to copyright@showmysong.com with your contact information, identification of the protected work, the specific ShowMySong material or URL, a good-faith statement, an accuracy statement, and your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may delay action. Knowingly false claims may create liability.
Response and repeat infringement
ShowMySong may restrict access to disputed material while reviewing a complete notice, notify the affected account holder, and accept a legally valid counter-notice. Accounts that repeatedly infringe rights may be limited or closed.
